AltMove Windows And Mouse Manager

There are some dialog boxes and application windows that cannot be resized conventionally using the click and drag method. For instance, the Internet Options window cannot be resized using the regular action. Previously, we have covered applications that allow you to resize any window, for instance, ResizeEnable is one such previously covered application that lets users resize the unresizable windows. However, it is limited to only enabling users to resize the windows. If you want a program that lets you resize windows and also provides you with other options, such as move windows, hide windows, change their opacity etc, try AltMove. It is a portable application for Windows that adds more functionality to your mouse for interacting with dialog boxes. The program allows you to perform several functions, including moving windows that do not support moving by default, resize windows that cannot be resized using the normal method, change the opacity of dialog boxes with intervals of 10%, minimize and maximize applications etc. Keep reading to find out more about AltMove.

AltMove Windows and Mouse Manager

Modern operating systems like Windows 10, Windows 8 or Windows 7 allow you to perform few extra actions with windows. They allow you to control the size and positioning of open windows better by dragging them to the edge of the screen. If you drag a window using its title bar to the top edge of the screen, it will be maximized. With the mouse pointer touching the left or right edges of the screen when dragging a window, it will be snapped to the left or right side of the screen respectively. This feature is called Snap.

If you grab the title bar of a window with the mouse and drag and shake it, all other background windows will be minimized. This is called Aero Shake. Both actions have their own hotkeys:Win + Home: Same as Aero Shake (minimizes all windows except the foreground window)Win + Left arrow key: Snaps an app window to the left.Win + Right arrow key: Snaps an app window to the right.Win + Up arrow key: Maximizes a window.Win + Shift + Up arrow key: Maximizes/resizes a window vertically.Win + Down arrow key: Minimizes a window if it's not maximized, otherwise it restores the window to its original non-maximized sized.

On my install (Freya) the default key for this functionality is actually Super (meta/windows key). You can change this in dconf-editor by navigating to org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences and setting mouse-button-modifier to

Arranging your workspace in Windows 10 can sometimes feel like a tedious process with your mouse. Luckily, you can use many keyboard shortcuts to switch, snap, minimize, maximize, move, or resize windows.

X-Mouse Button Control is the best software to customize mouse as it provides a variety of mouse control options. You can choose from a range of commands for a particular mouse event. This can be done for not only all windows, but particular applications too.

Also, third-party applications like Neat Mouse can cause this type of behaviour for the cursor.

Keyboard and mouse are the most used of input devices. Both these devices have their specific usage. When a user tries to use any of the direction keys of the keyboard to perform a certain operation but the key, instead of performing that operation, starts to move the cursor. This makes the user experience quite frustrating and annoying.

Before trying any of the solutions, make sure that the option of “Mouse Keys” is disabled in Ease of Access in Settings. These settings are present in Windows to facilitate the user who doesn't have a mouse or their mouse is malfunctioning. This option is usually disabled by default but can be enabled by mistake. In that case, try enabling the services/applications one by one and see which one causes the issue again.
Once you have identified the application, press Windows + R, type "appwiz.cpl" in the dialogue box and press Enter.
Once in the application manager, search for the application, right-click on it and select Uninstall.
Restart your computer and see if the issue has resolved.

Also consider unplugging all of your peripherals connected to your computer.
